After so many years of editing, it's probably the first time that I edited exclusively for myself — no collab, no MEP, no commission — and I've gotta say, it feels intimidating. I wanted to pay tribute to an anime that I'm very attached to while pouring out the things that I like, even for a short amount of time. The more I learn about Sonny Boy, the more I come to appreciate it — and considering how multi-layered the writing is, I wanted to give my own interpretation of the show, and especially the relationship between the two main characters, within the vastness of its worldbuilding.

I started this video back in March when the animation with this song came out, it was gonna be a quick weekend edit but I spent too much time searching for scenes, lost motivation and left it lying around. Now it's the end of the year and since I haven't really edited much this year, I wanted to finish one more video so I picked this back up and finished it. It's simple but I love this song and I'm happy I got to edit it the way I wanted to! The theme of the video is saying goodbye at the end of the journey and to repeat from the beginning, which unintentionally fits the end of the year too.

As for the MEP, we didn't really have a theme for this beyond "Crows Team". Many participants opted to show some love for prior MEP themes; any consistency beyond that just sort of happened. And of course it wouldn't be Crows if we didn't wait until the last minute to start a big project, so thank you to everyone for working so hard these last three weeks (incredible). Special thanks to the retired members that came out of hibernation and the former caws, members of ‪@j0kertroupe‬, for joining in on the celebration. Last but not least, some extra love to our founder/leader/mep host ‪@BaboolalAMV‬ for his efforts in keeping things on track and to ‪@Novartxz‬ for the amazing thumbnail and anniversary graphics!
