Author's comment: This video took nearly seven years to complete. I started it in the summer of 2003 after the abysmal failure of my previous attempt to make this video.
The important facts:
I don't really hate Minmay. Or, well, I didn't really hate Minmay until I spent seven years rotoscoping her. Goddamned bitch.
I really did get permission from Bowling For Soup to use The Bitch Song. They are huge fans of Robotech, and we discussed the video at Vans Warped Tour in 2003. They are from Denton, which is practically the next town over from Frisco, where I spent my teenage years. They were a local band then.
I discussed the video concept with Carl Macek when I was on the guest relations staff at Anime Mid Atlantic in 2003.

Yes, I really did work on this for seven years, although obviously not consistently. I picked at it whenever I got the urge.
For those of you who consider it an "epic fail" or think I "wasted" my time. I quite enjoyed the experimentation I did, and I actually happen to like rewatching it myself. This is very much a fan vid, made for fans of Macross. And that means not everyone is going to get it.
Feel free to argue about whether you feel an editing decision was or was not effective, but I would caution you on making wide ranging value judgements on what is or not a "waste" of my time. Leisure activities have a value decided by those that engage in them.
