A good attempt at character profiling.

But the AMV has a lot of static shots, and some shots simply aren't expressive or vibrant enough for a music video.

Also, even for those familiar with the original, it feels a bit disjointed.

But for a first AMV, it's still pretty good.

thanks for the comment! I agree on the disjointedness a bit, cuz there are a few shots where I had to find something to fit in, because I was running out of time before I had to get ready for work (i made this overnight.)

There is a lot of static shots, indeed. but a lot of those are ones that I felt needed to be included for their meaning in the context of the story, and the song's slower rhythm seemed like it worked well if the more static imagery. Aside from the aforementioned disjointed couple of clips, Almost every choice i made to use certain shots or scenes was based on the meaning in context of the story instead of whether it was flashy or dynamic enough for a typical AMV.

Thank you again for sharing your thoughts! this was my first attempt at doing something like this, and I'm glad it turned out well at all. I'm glad you liked it.

This is pretty good, i enjoyed it. But it falls into this common pet peeve i have with many AMVs where it feels like it's too short. This one gives me a feeling of having the experience cut off halfway through the build up, and never reaching the full crescendo.

especially considering the intro part before the song proper. The whole affair is tragically brief, and left me wanting. It felt incomplete.

In any case, what's there seemed well-done to me. I like how you keep with a consistent theme. I also prefer when AMVs stick to one (or at most, two/three) anime as their source. it makes for a more cohesive package. While you added other sources in, there inclusion was minimal enough. and Zaregoto's OVA is stylistically very similar to Monogatari, so it fit right in! That's definitely the way to mix in multiple series without making things feel disjointed!

All in all, decent AMV. just half the length it feels like it could've/should've been.
